Did you know that only food labelled “organic” must have certification? The word organic has no legal definition in regard to anything else. If it does not have organic certification, which our process does, then it can contain ANYTHING! Not just sheepskins! Ask for certification number and certification body.
Less than 2% of the British ewe flock have Organic Certification, but the greatest majority are reared to organic standards, but farmers simply cannot afford the fees or sheep roam on hills and fells which cannot be certified. British animal welfare regulations are some of the tightest in the world. (We also keep livestock here, so we know) Sheep live mainly on grass and they donít like being shut in! Our skins are selected only from this extensively reared BRITISH flock.

All our rugs are individually selected, takes time, distance and hands on expertise! Always looking for the component parts for the works of art seen and offered in the design studio.
Baby rugs which can also be used as bed rugs for comfort and the elderly and bed-ridden, are chosen very, very carefully.
Organic Meeces take six and a half hours each to “breed”!
